Debbie & Craig’s Wedding at The Busby Hotel, Glasgow
“Thank you Jack, the photos are fantastic!!”
Debbie got in touch with me a few months before her wedding, which was held in March 2019 at the Busby Hotel in the Southside of Glasgow. We got the date in the diary after an initial consultation where she decided that she’d like coverage of her ceremony and reception, with just a little bit of the bridal prep covered too.
I arrived ahead of the ceremony and went up to see Debbie and her bridesmaids in their room. I captured a few images of the preparations and then went down to see how Craig, his Best Man, and his Dad were doing as they waited for the guests to arrive.
Debbie and Craig had a beautiful Humanist Ceremony which was perfectly personalised to them, and they had a lovely poem read by Craig’s brother. After sealing the deal with a kiss, we went on to capture some portraits of the happy couple in the hotel’s garden, and then covered the group photographs inside. I captured the speeches during the wedding breakfast and then left the group to their meal and went off to have some dinner of my own.
As the evening guests arrived I captured group photos and candids of everyone having a good time. After capturing the cake cutting and the first dance I checked in with the Bride and Groom to make sure there were no last-minute photos they’d like me to take, and after organising a few more portraits I headed home with two cameras full of happy images just waiting to be edited. I delivered the photos within two weeks and the couple got in touch to let me know that they were delighted with their photos.
